Canadian GP organisers surprised with FIA's decision
08 October 2008The organisers of the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal were extremely surprised to read Tuesday's news. The FIA announced the 2009 Formula 1 Calendar on Tuesday but dropped the Canadian Grand Prix from the 2009 season, but never informed the people in Montreal about their decision.

In a short statement the organizers of the Canadian Grand Prix said they had to find out about the news via the media and won't give any further comment until they have spoken with the FIA.
