Button still waiting for Honda's driver decision

09 October 2008

Most of the Formula One teams confirmed their driver line-ups for 2009 but at Honda F1 the drivers have yet to be confirmed for next season. Jenson Button is in his third season for Honda but his future in Formula 1 is still unsecured.

It is expected that at least one driver at the Honda F1 team will be replaced next season, but it could be either Jenson Button or Rubens Barrichello. When asked if he was confirmed for 2009 at Honda Jenson Button replied: "No...".

The 28-year-old Briton does hope though he can stick with Honda. "We are not in a rush, it's fine. But as you said there is a lot changing next year which makes it very exciting. Ross is very good at new regulations and I am looking forward to it, driving with slick tyres and new aero spec and obviously the KERS. There is a lot to play with there and a lot for us to get right."
