BMW to support Kubica in his championship battle
14 October 2008With two races to go in the 2008 Formula One season Robert Kubica is twelve points down on championship leader Lewis Hamilton. The BMW Sauber F1 driver still has, in theory, a chance to win the drivers' championship title this season and his team has said it will do everything it can to give him full support to fight with Hamilton and Massa.
"For as long as we have a chance to win the title in theory we won't sleep but do everything we can to fight for it," said BMW Sauber F1's technical directory Willy Rampf. "We will make sure every detail will be watched and even though we haven't got any major upgrades planned for this season there will be small changes to the car."
BMW is currently third in the constructors' championship - fourteen points behind on Ferrari.
