Fisichella keen to score points again
15 October 2008Giancarlo Fisichella is in his thirteenths season in Formula 1. The Italian scored 267 points in the F1 championship but this season could be his first season since he enjoyed his debut at Minardi, back in 1996, without scoring any points. At the upcoming Chinese Grand Prix Fisichella hopes he can change his fortunes and claim at least a point.

"I think now we have to keep pushing until the end of the year," Fisichella said about the upcoming Grand Prix at the Shanghai International Circuit. "I've gone too long without points now and I don't want to get to the end of the year without any on the board. It would just mean so much to everyone at the track and at the factory."
Speaking about the track itself he said: "Shanghai is a great circuit and I have had some good results there. I've competed in every race since it came onto the calendar in 2004 and actually finished in all of them, so I will want to keep up this record. My best result was a podium in 2006 and in 2005 the points I got from 4th position secured Renault the manufacturers' title, so I've got good memories there."
