Prost: French Grand Prix should be saved

16 October 2008

On Wednesday the FFSA announced that it is unable to host the French Grand Prix in 2009. According to France' most successful driver in Formula 1, Alain Prost, it is extremely important for his country to organize the French Grand Prix in 2010 again.

Alain Prost hopes his country will do everything it can to keep the French Grand Prix on the calendar in the future for the sake of the auto mobile industry in France. "This is not just about saving our spot on the calendar but also about the entire auto mobile industry in France. It doesn't look good for the future and we should do something about it," Prost told L'Eqiupe.

The French Grand Prix was the first ever Formula 1 race that was organized.
