2009 BMW is on schedule

With the official end coming to BMW's chances of pulling off a shock victory in either championship following the Chinese Grand Prix, team boss Mario Theissen says the team's 2009 car is on schedule.

"I believe we are well on our way," said Theissen. "The design work is running to plan, and we are also on track to finish our aerodynamic development on schedule." 

Theissen added that the tests on the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) are also progressing nicely: "We have tested KERS in recent weeks. Not on the track, but on the straight in Miramas. That work is ongoing."
