Mercedes driver Paul di Resta completed his second two-day test with the McLaren Formula One team at Silverstone this week and was pleased to build on the experience and pace he generated in the initial test a fortnight ago.
"I picked up very quickly from where I left off a couple of weeks ago," he explained. "We had a base line from which to work from and within a few laps I was faster than I had been previously.
"Though the weather was very poor on the first day, we got a load of running 24 hours later and everybody within the team was happy with what we achieved. Personally I'm also satisfied that I've shown everyone again just what I can do in an F1 car."
Di Resta will now travel to Hockenheim for the final round in the DTM season. Di Resta is just two points behind on championship leader Timo Scheider.
