Kubica happy with this year's achievement
23 October 2008BMW Sauber F1 driver Robert Kubica has been fighting for the F1 championship title until the penultimate round of the season in Shanghai. The 23-year-old can look back at a fantastic season at BMW Sauber F1.
"It would have been excellent for myself to finish in the top three at the end of the season. You never know whether you'll get another chance over the next five years or so to lead the World Championship after seven races," said Kubica who was leading the championship after winning the Canadian Grand Prix. "Our consistency and reliability is what kept us in the battle for the championship."
"I was always quick, and had very few errors," Kubica said. "Of course, I am very ambitious and always give one hundred percent, but you still always have the feeling that we could have done better. However, we should be happy with what we have achieved."
