BMW's test and reserve driver Christian Klien is looking forward to the upcoming winter period. The Austrian can count on many miles of testing for the Hinwill based team. The winter period will be extremely important as there are a lot of changes to the aerodynamics of the car and the introduction of KERS.

While the 2008 Formula One season is drawing to a close, the excitement level is increasing for Christian: after the season finale in Brazil, the first test drives for 2009 will be just around the corner. Christian will play a major role for the BMW Sauber F1 Team during this important phase.
"I enjoy the fact that I get to do lots of driving. The regulations allow the teams to test with two cars again during the winter, which means I will get plenty of kilometres under my belt again," Klien said. "The completely new technology regulations for 2009 mean that we test drivers will be able to contribute more significantly to the team's success than we have done lately. Formula One will change considerably due to slicks, KERS and efficient aerodynamics. Each element is another unknown, which will impact greatly on the sport. The task of developing the car has never been as exciting as now."
