Special livery for Coulthard's last F1 race
30 October 2008David Coulthard will be racing in a special livery this weekend to promote Wings For Life. The Red Bull Racing driver will be competing in his last Formula 1 race as he will quit his career as an active Formula 1 driver at the end of this season.
In his final Grand Prix, Coulthard will be promoting the work of the research foundation which is striving to find a cure for spinal cord injuries.
"I'm dedicating my last race to the vision of making paraplegia curable," said Coulthard. "In Formula One success is determined by a few seconds, in medicine people think in terms of years. But in both disciplines, ambition and commitment are crucial factors that are needed in order to reach the finishing line as soon as possible. Wings for Life helps to accelerate the breakthrough in spinal cord research."
