McLaren Technology Centre goes Rocket Red for Hamilton

To commemorate Lewis Hamilton's world championship victory in Brazil on Sunday, the entrance to the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes headquarters in Woking has received its own unique makeover.

The McLaren Technology Centre's visually striking 10m-long neon-white entry sign, witnessed by thousands of passing motorists each day, has been lit in McLaren's trademark Rocket Red victory livery and decorated with a personalised congratulatory message to celebrate the success of the team's new world champion.

Hamilton himself was impressed by the facelift, saying: "Whenever we win, we put on our Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Rocket Red victory T-shirts, so it's pretty cool that the McLaren Technology Centre has got in on the act too. I'd been shown photos of the MTC when I was still in Brazil, but it looked even better when I saw it in person for the first time this morning. And I understand it's had a fantastic reaction locally."
