The FIA has released an amended calendar for the 2009 Formula 1 season. The schedule for next season counts 17 races and sees the Chinese Grand Prix move from October to an April date. The Chinese Grand Prix will now take place one week before Bahrain.

The FIA furthermore confirmed that the Australian and Malaysian Grand Prix will see the race start at 17.00 hours, while the Japanese Grand Prix will start on Sunday at 15.00 hours.

The final round in the 2009 Formula 1 championship will take place in Abu Dhabi but two weeks earlier than previously announced.
