Van der Garde sitting tight at Renault
14 November 2008World Series by Renault champion Giedo van der Garde travelled to Enstone on Thursday for his seat fitting at the Renault Formula 1 factory. The Dutchman will enjoy two days of testing at Circuit de Catalunya next week with the team.
Van der Garde's seat fitting didn't go as well as he hoped. Van der Garde is a bit bigger than Renault's regular race drivers and thus he was sitting a bit tight in his seat.
Speaking about his seat fitting Van der Garde commented: "It was really impressive to walk around the Renault factory. The fitting of the seat went well, however the car is very tight due to the length of my legs. But the fact that it happened in a Grand Prix winning car made it really special. I can't wait to go to Barcelona next week to show the team what I am capable of."
