Red Bull confident Webber will race in Australia
22 November 2008Red Bull Racing has issued a statement claiming to be confident that Mark Webber will have recovered in time for the season opening round in Australia in March. Webber broke his right leg in a road accident while competing in his Tasmania challenge.
"Mark will remain in Australia for a few days before continuing his recovery in the UK," Red Bull Racing said in a statement. "While it looks like he's out of the winter testing programme, we fully expect him to make the starting grid in Melbourne in March."
"Mark has said that he's relieved to know the driver of the car was uninjured and expressed his thanks for the many well wishes from family, friends and fans," it added.
