Coulthard becomes a father

Just weeks after hanging up his Grand Prix racing helmet and retiring from F1 racing, David Coulthard has become a father for the first time. 

Coulthard's fiancée Karen Minier gave birth to a boy on Friday. The couple have named the boy Dayton and he weighed in at 6lb 3oz.

Coulthard has also been announced as part of the BBC commentating team as coverage of F1 in the UK switches to the state-funded broadcaster for 2009.
