Rosberg aims for better season next year

25 November 2008

Nico Rosberg and the Williams F1 team have a difficult year behind them. Even though the German managed to finish on the podium in both Singapore and Australia he was unable to finish in the points on a regular basis. Williams F1 ended eighth in the constructors' championship.

Even though he had a tough season in 2008 Nico Rosberg aims for better results in 2009. With the new rules in Formula 1 he believes the team can get back up the grid and start scoring more points again. "Now it is going to be a different game (next season) because everybody starts from zero, with a completely new concept," Rosberg said in an interview with F1.com. "I hope that the people at Williams can take advantage of this situation. That would be great. I am not asking for a world championship-winning car, just a car that gives me the opportunity to finish in the points consistently - and a couple of podiums would be the icing on the cake.

"The chances are there, for sure. Should '09 not turn out as I hope it will, then naturally I have to re-think my position for 2010," he warns.
