Hockenheim's tenure as a Formula One Grand Prix circuit is hanging in the balance again as the circuit is looking for financial help from the government to keep hosting the German Grand Prix.
Hockenheim currently alternates hosting duties of the German Grand Prix with the Nurburgring each year - a move that was designed to make the race more affordable for both circuits.
However, Hockenheim made a loss of over five million Euros on this season's race and a circuit official has spoken out to the German media calling on the government to support the circuit or risk seeing the race disappear.
The Canadian Grand Prix was the most recent to be cut from the calendar because of financial reasons.
