Sebastien Buemi continued to set the pace in winter testing as action at Jerez in southern Spain resumed today.
While Buemi spent last week testing for Scuderia Toro Rosso as he bids to clinch a race drive in 2009, today he was on duty for Red Bull Racing as their official test driver. Apart from a small crash, Buemi had an otherwise good day in the 2008 Red Bull.
Buemi finished 1.5s ahead of Nick Heidfeld in the development version of the BMW car. The German was joined by BMW tester Christian Klien who finished fourth in the KERS car behind Brendon Hartley who made his proper F1 test debut for Red Bull today in third.
Nico Hulkenberg was the only other driver in action, finishing fifth for Williams.
Testing continues tomorrow.
