Lewis Hamilton has warned that the widespread cost-cutting measures due to be introduced in 2009 will do nothing to help defend his drivers' title, despite McLaren being one of the most financially stable teams on the grid.
"I don't think it will make it any easier," Hamilton told the Associated Press. "The new regulations will make it very difficult to win the championship again. We have less testing but I think our team is in a position to make a difference some other way - but everyone is in the same boat."
"It's amazing how many different things happen in a year but all we're thinking about is how we can continue in the sport and continue to put on a good show," he added. "How we can move forward and continue to win too."
