Toyota bosses in Japan have said they will stay committed to Formula One even though the car market in Japan is facing difficulties next season. Japan's other F1 team, Honda F1, decided earlier this month to pull the plug and end their F1 project with immidiate effect.
Toyota Motor Corporation president Katsuaki Watanabe was quoted by our colleagues at Autosport.com saying: "The change in the world economy is of a magnitude that comes once every hundred years. We are facing an unprecedented emergency.
"We continue F1 and other motorsport activities while cutting costs."
