The German, five times a World Champion with the Scuderia, has represented the Italian marque on their F1 and road car projects since his retirement as a driver at the end of the 2006 season. Team principal Stefano Domenicali, when talking to Italian publication Autosprint, confirmed that Schumacher will see out his current contract but failed to mention any future extension to the agreement. Domenicali can confirm, however, that talks will be taking place in the near future with regards to the deal.
Schumacher has been part of Ferrari since 1996 following his move from Benetton as double world champion; the peak of his career with the team came as he failed to be beaten to the title from the beginning of the new millennium through to 2004.
