The brand-new Portuguese track in the Algarve, in the South of Portugal, welcome the Formula 1 teams this month for three days of testing by the McLaren and Ferrari team. According to the team's test drivers Pedro de la Rosa and Marc Gene were very positive on the new track.
Speaking with Italian magazine Autosprint McLaren test driver Pedro de la Rosa said: "This is really a great track. For a test driver such as myself it was good to drive at a new track. The track isn't too have physically but when the track will get more grip it could be a bit tougher."
Ferrari test driver Marc Gene agreed with De la Rosa. "The track is still a bit slippery but that's just simply because there isn't enough rubber on track yet. When we'd have at least six teams testing here in Portugal the problem would be solved within a day I'm sure. Apart from that this is really a great track."
