Lewis Hamilton will be added to London's Madama Taussauds' sports zone next year. The 23-year-old Formula 1 champion will join other sporting heroes in Madame Tussauds.
Earlier this month more than more than 300 measurements and a catalogue of reference shots were taken at his sitting for the studio's team. Hamilton's wax figure is estimated at around £150,000.
Liz Edwards, PR Manager for Madame Tussauds said: "Like the rest of Britain we were all delighted about Lewis's F1 championship win. Although he has only raced in F1 for two seasons his name has been on our radar for some time and we'd already made our decision to include him before his Championship winning performance because of huge demand from our guests. He has undoubtedly won a place in the nation's hearts for his determination and single mindedness and a place at Madame Tussauds for an amazing track record - and he is still only 23!"
