Suspended sentence and fine for Verstappen

Jos Verstappen was fined 1,650 euros for threatening his ex-wife and handed a suspended sentence of three months in prison. The former Formula 1 driver heard the court's verdict on Monday morning in Belgium.

Verstappen was accused of verbal threats and of beating his wife and daughter. Verstappen also had to pay his ex-wife the symbolic amount of 1 euro for damages.
