With ten days to go until the roll-out of the 2009 BMW Sauber F1 car, team managing director Walter Riedl says everything is on track.
"We're on schedule," he confirmed. "The component production during the winter break went exactly to plan and everything is now focused on 20th January, the roll-out of our 2009 car in Valencia."
Riedl confirmed that the team had put some key parts of the car, such as the gearbox, in production several months ago.
"We started with this as early as last summer," he revealed. "The latest components to have been produced are, for example, the front wing end plates. The regulations for these were only finalised in the middle of December."
