Ferrari unlikely to supply Honda with engines

12 January 2009

Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali says it is highly unlikely that Ferrari will supply the former Honda team with engines in 2009 despite rumours linking the two.

"The chance that we'll supply engines to Honda is close to zero," Domenicali told reporters at the launch of his team's 2009 car in Mugello.

A buyer is still being sought for the Honda team and will need to be found soon if the outfit is to stand any chance of getting an engine supply and its car together for the start of the new season.

Honda has also been linked with Mercedes for a potential engine deal once a buyer is found for the team.
