Confirming yesterday's rumours, the team have said that they will not be testing in Jerez next week, however will be present for a shakedown at Silverstone. They will then be joining the other teams in Barcelona for F1's last major pre-season test between 9-12 March.
With no more confirmed news regarding the new ownership of the team, the highest possibility remains that a management buyout will be taking place within the next few days between CEO Nick Fry and team principal Ross Brawn.
Speaking to the BBC, an internal source commented that "There's no way we'd go to any test without an engine deal. If we do, it means it's a done deal. We are carrying on as if we're going to Melbourne."
It is almost certain that England's Jenson Button will be retained by the team as lead driver, with decisions still being made towards which Brazilian will claim the seat alongside him; either to keep the experienced Rubens Barrichello or to invest in the fresh talent that is Bruno Senna.
