Nick Fry, Chief Executive Officer of the now defunct Honda team, has been retained with the same role at the newly-branded Brawn F1. Rumours had been circulating the paddock at this week's Barcelona test that Fry would not continue, until the issue was cleared up by new team owner Ross Brawn.

| Nick Fry remains as CEO to the team |
"Nick has been a key member of the team and retains his position as CEO," Brawn informed reporters at the Circuit de Catalunya. "He's been a vital part of putting this all together."
Despite the team having been linked with several possible buyers since December - including Mexican business supremo Carlos Slim and Virgin head man Richard Branson - Brawn admits that it wouldn't have survived had the management not planned a buyout: "It's been stressful for the management, and if we hadn't stayed together as a group it would have been very difficult to achieve this, because there were some very black days in trying to keep this team alive. But I'm glad we are here and we are going to Melbourne."
Brawn, made famous by his superb tactical decisions as technical director of Ferrari between 1996 and 2006, now becomes the owner of the third English team on the grid: "If I'm frank, there were no choices. If the management group hadn't taken this task on, all of the team would have been made redundant."
While it is likely that Honda will contribute towards the funding of Brawn GP for 2009, the new owner's next task is to find a solid long-term sponsor to assist the rebuilding of the outfit.
