'Most dangerous conditions ever' - Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton was thankful for the stoppage of the Malaysian Grand Prix after experiencing what he described as the most dangerous conditions possible. The World Champion recorded his first points of the season at Sepang by being classified as seventh amid torrential conditions.

"All I could do was try and keep the car on the track," Hamilton explained. "It was the correct decision to stop the race, because it was just too dangerous for everyone - I love it when it rains, but this was just too much.

Hamilton, in his third season of F1, is already known for his wet weather abilities having taken memorable victories in the wet in races such as Fuji 2007 and Silverstone and Monaco of last year. "When the rain came down, it was impossible to drive today," he added. "I was aquaplaning everywhere - these were the most dangerous conditions I've ever raced in."
