Anthony Davidson has been linked with a possible drive for Nissan in the 24-hour Spa-Francorchamps endurance race in the summer. Having joined the BBC's 5 Live F1 commentary team for 2009, he last drove in a Grand Prix for Super Aguri, almost a year ago.

Davidson, who will be celebrating his 30th birthday next Saturday, has been linked with the Nissan squad which will be racing its new GT1 model. A team spokesperson confirmed to Autosport that the Hemel Hempstead star is 'one of the candidates' as team-mate to Michael Krumm and former British Touring Car race winner Darren Turner.

The FIA GT championship, which starts at Silverstone in just under three weeks' time, also saw Davidson take part during the 2003 season, driving the Ferrari 550 Maranello. If a deal is agreed, Davidson will hit the track in Belgium during the month of July.
