The Brawn GP team has signed its latest sponsor as the new team's car continues to lose blank space as the season progress. The outfit has completed a three-year deal with Swiss foreign exchange company, M I G Investments, whose logos first appeared on the car in Friday's first practice session in China.
"We are delighted to welcome M I G Investments to Formula One and to the Brawn GP team," said team owner Ross Brawn. "Our team has had a great start to the 2009 season and we are very pleased to have secured our third new partnership; in a difficult economic climate, it is a positive sign that the appeal of Formula One continues to attract new companies to invest in our sport."
Formed in 2003 and based in the Swiss location of Neuchâtel, M I G Investments is a leading Swiss Forex broker, founded and managed by the Mansour family. The growing company boasts 70 employees with clients in over 120 countries. "We are extremely proud to be joining ranks with Formula One's newest sensation, the Brawn GP team," commented Hisham Mansour, CEO of M I G. "This collaboration marks an important synergy between two young, innovative and ambitious teams, both leaders in our respective fields. We share parallel formulas for success and believe strongly in the power of innovation, teamwork and dedication."
As well as its logo sprouting on the front wing and nose cone section of the Mercedes-powered cars, the firm's name will also be appearing on the race overalls of drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, starting at the Spanish Grand Prix on 10 May.
