5-place grid penalty for Glock

18 April 2009 / Photos

Timo Glock will start the Chinese Grand Prix five places further back from where he qualifies today as a result of a penalty imposed by the stewards following a gearbox change.

Glock, who has already started a race from the pitlane this season, completed just six laps in final practice this morning as a result of the problem, but is remaining optimistic heading into qualifying.

"It is unfortunate," Toyota's German driver told the BBC. "But we had a really good result from the pitlane in Melbourne, so I am still hopeful."
