No points for Williams at Sakhir

Another difficult Grand Prix for the Williams teams yielded no reward in Bahrain, as Nico Rosberg missed a point by just over five seconds and Kazuki Nakajima held the unenviable statistic of being the only retirement from the race. Having topped several practice sessions this season, the team remains eighth in the constructors' championship.

"It was not so good today," admitted Rosberg, who hoped before the race that Williams would achieve a deservedly positive result. "I was on the limit and really got the best out of it, but we were simply not quick enough. I lost so many places at the start because all of the KERS cars came flying past me, which was really shocking because I had a very good start." Lined up ninth of the grid, the German had both Ferraris, BMWs and Piquet's Renault starting in close proximity and shod with the device. "This is just where we are at the moment so we need to push hard to improve and catch up with the others in front." Nico hopes for an instant improvement in Barcelona, where Williams' first major aerodynamic upgrade of the season will appear.

Despite the high temperatures, Bahrain was looking to be the race since Italy 2005 in which all cars finished, until Nakajima suffered an oil pressure problem just nine laps from home. "It's was a disappointing race for me," the Japanese said, having retired from his second consecutive Grand Prix. "My start was average but it was very difficult to defend against the cars around me that had KERS. It was then very close going into the first corner on the second lap and I damaged my front wing, so had to pit early. I came out at the back of the field and from there I couldn't make up any ground." With the team electing to retire the car towards the end of the race, Nakajima added that the Toyota-powered FW31 continued to feel 'good' to drive.
