Nick Heidfeld is hoping to make best use of the first double-diffuser to be used by the BMW team, which is set to make its appearance at the Turkish Grand Prix on 7 June. The German, who made a return to the points in Spain for the first time since his Malaysian podium, has endured a season of frustrations in early 2009 as his team looks to make ground on the development front.

With a mixture of on-track clashes and technical problems, BMW has suffered a dismal start to the season considering its title ambitions and gradual progress since its taking over of Sauber at the end of 2005. "To be honest, I am looking forward to Istanbul," admitted Heidfeld. "That is when we get another new package with the double-decker diffuser; hopefully we'll take another large step forward then."
Before the trip to the city of two continents, however, comes the legendary Monaco Grand Prix next weekend; last year's race reached the two-hour time limit as Lewis Hamilton avoided the midfield drama to take his first Monte-Carlo win on a wet afternoon in the principality. "It is an extraordinary circuit," Heidfeld added. "That is why it is so difficult to make any predictions."
