Jenson Button admits that his successful start to this year's championship may be reflected in his personality, having claimed that he is now concentrating more on racing with a competitive car. The Englishman has won four of the five opening races and currently leads the World Championship by fourteen points.

With wins in Australia, Malaysia, Bahrain and Spain, Button's rivals will be pleased that the 'wins for title' scoring system was not introduced this year although the Frome-born star believes that his company may be more of a bore this year than last. "I'm probably a right boring b****** at the moment, I really am!" he said in Monaco. "My girlfriend will tell me when she turns up tomorrow…
"It's different because things are going well and you want to be thinking about how you can improve; when things aren't going so well you know you need to improve the car and where you are, but you also need to get away from the racing, to forget about it for a few days - at the moment, that's not possible."
Now in his tenth season, Button's last two seasons with Honda proved the most difficult of his career although the 29-year-old driver's fortunes have changed beyond recognition in 2009. "It's quite a strange feeling, very different to the rest of my Formula 1 career, winning four races out of five, but you do get used to it very quickly," he admitted. "I will never forget how difficult it can get - how tough it can get - but when you're winning, finishing second is a disappointment."
