The Toyota team has lodged a complaint with Monaco stewards after Fernando Alonso allegedly held up former team-mate Jarno Trulli during qualifying on Saturday. The Italian eventually qualified nineteenth fastest, ahead only of team-mate Timo Glock.
With the Toyota team, which locked out the front row in Bahrain, suffering its worst ever qualifying session with both cars at the back, Trulli complained of Alonso's apparent tactics after finishing his session. "All weekend we have been off the pace, even though I was managing to do my best," Jarno admitted.
"I was putting the car through to Q2 but, unfortunately in the last two corners, I found the Renault which blocked me and so I've lost my quickest lap and that was it; we have reported it to the stewards - they looking at it and I am sure they will take action." Alonso's team-mate, Nelson Piquet, was also in the wars after momentarily blocking the track with a spin at the final corner.
