The USF1 team has submitted its entry plans for next year's World Championship, ahead of the closing deadline on Friday. The Charlotte-based team, headed by Ken Anderson and Peter Windsor, first revealed its project - which began in secrecy in 2005 - at the end of last year.
With less than a week remaining for entry submissions for 2010 and the ongoing budget cap row in full swing, USF1 becomes the second outfit to officially declare its intentions after Adrián Campos' GP2 put forward an entry request for next season.
"Yes we have," USF1 team principal Ken Anderson told Autosport of the team's entry, "It's Team US F1." He went on to explain that talks are still in progress over the confirmation of a deal for engine supply but cannot yet reveal if suspected links with Cosworth have lead to a contract signing.
