Sebastian Vettel will be carrying the lightest car into Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix as the Red Bull team looks to reap the rewards of a shorter first stint that anybody else on the grid in Monte-Carlo. At the back, however, Timo Glock is carrying far more fuel than any of his rivals and will be the last car to pit during the race.
With the Toyota carrying some 700 kilogrammes (110 stone), the there couldn't be much more of a contrast between the starting loads of the two Germans' cars. The Toyota appears to be on a one-stop strategy in a quest for a points finish, although - with rain unlikely this year - safety car periods could be necessary for the strategy to play any significant role in the overall outcome of the race.
Kimi Räikkönen completed a strong lap to qualify three places ahead of team-mate Massa, despite carrying half a kilo more fuel. Lewis Hamilton, as well as the two BMW and Toyota cars behind him at the rear end of the grid, is heavy in comparison to those around him and will be hoping for a clear space in front of him in order to make up time and positions during the first round of pit stops on Sunday.
