Rosberg concentrating on setup

Nico Rosberg was quietly confident after practice in Turkey. The German finished on top of the first session by over three tenths of a second from Lewis Hamilton before setting the seventh fastest time in the afternoon, but admits that work must still be done in order to score points in Sunday's race.

By being fastest in the first session, Nico has successfully headed a practice session at all venues so far this season, being on top of eleven of the twenty practices so far. "I think that the new aero parts we've brought out here are working as we expected them to, which is good," he commented of his car's updates. "Having said that, levels of progress are always calculated in relation to other people and we are never sure where the others are, especially on a Friday.

"Today's sessions were mainly about tyre testing; we covered a lot of ground with them, particularly in the afternoon session, so we now have a better understanding of how both the option (Soft) and prime (Hard) are working, but we will have another look at them tomorrow morning to figure out how to get the most out of them." Nico made use of scrubbed and new tyres of both compounds during the second session on his way to completing forty laps. "It's clear that tyre choice will be an interesting call for both qualifying and the race," he added.
