Stefano Domenicali claims that the FIA has broken an agreement which states that the Italian team is obliged to race in Formula One next season. Despite the various disagreements currently raging throughout the paddock, the Scuderia's team principal is keen to obtain harmony between the parties during an important period for the sport's future.
With Williams and now Force India having broken Formula One Teams' Association (FOTA) ranks by submitting entries to the 2010 World Championship due to so-called obligations and FIA president Max Mosley indication that the reigning constructors' World Champions face the same scenario, Ferrari team principal Domenicali was quick to point out that the team's agreement should now be declared as null and void after the FIA's proposed changing of the technical regulations.

"Well, our position is very clear and we have already said that," Domenicali said in an Istanbul press conference. "That is the position of Max, of course - we had an agreement with the FIA but we felt that the obligations inside that agreement were breached, so the agreement is not valid anymore; we have put in our entry, together with other competitors, with the condition that we think is important to respect for the future of Formula One."
Despite the continued wrangling amongst teams and the sport's governing body, Domenicali stressed that cooperation is the most appropriate manner in which to approach the situation. "If I may take the opportunity to say that I think it is important at this moment to be constructive," he continued. "There is no-one who wants to have any fight with anyone because this is not, at least on our side, the position that we want to take - it is a moment when we genuinely need to find a solution."
