Sutil achieves Q2 again
06 June 2009 / Results / PhotosAdrian Sutil admitted that he was surprised to have successfully qualified in the top fifteen for the second consecutive race in Turkey. Having joined team-mate Giancarlo Fisichella in the midfield in Monte-Carlo, German Sutil is the team's sole representative in the third quarter of the grid for Sunday's Grand Prix of Turkey.

Sixteenth on the grid ensures Sutil's Force India starts one place ahead of friend and World Champion Lewis Hamilton in the race. "It was a really good qualifying session for us and I am very happy with the 15th place and Q2 again," Adrian said after the session. "We didn't expect it, as we've had a few little issues over the weekend so far, but we managed a good lap when it mattered - I am happy for the team and I think we can be really proud right now."
Modifications to his VJM02 in final practice helped ease a braking issue on Adrian's car, although he wasn't the only driver with the problem, finding out the hard way. "Unfortunately, on my best lap there was a yellow flag as Piquet had spun and I had to lift off and couldn't get the time back," 26-year-old Sutil continued. "For sure, the soft tyres are going to be a bit tricky tomorrow, especially in the heat, but I hope we can have a good race from where we are on the grid."
