"What can I say?" - Button

"What can I say?" were just four of Jenson Button's words over the radio to the Brawn GP team during his victory lap after the Turkish Grand Prix. Weaving across the line to claim win number six from seven races, Britain's Button will take a twenty-six-point lead and equalled record with him to Silverstone in two weeks' time.

By winning six rounds out of seven so far this year, Button equals the record set by Jim Clark and Michael Schumacher in 1965 and 2004 respectively. "Today the car was the best it's felt all year," Button said of victory in the 'outrageous' Brawn BGP 001. "We've been quick on other occasions and the car's been a bit loose, and hasn't really suited my style, but today the car was immense, it really was.

"I've got to say a massive thank you to everyone - it just keeps getting better, I don't know if this sort of circuit suits our car more than others; I think some of it was due to the rubber on the circuit as well, which really helped our car but yes, the car was fantastic today."

Heading into his home British Grand Prix in a fortnight, Frome's Jenson will take with him a twenty-six point lead which cannot be overhauled until the Hungarian Grand Prix on 26 July at the very earliest. "I wished I could have had all of the boys on the podium," the race winner concluded. "I had Bono, one of my engineers, but they all deserve to be up there - they did a great job."
