The Brawn team has begun a new sponsorship deal with Gieves & Hawkes ahead of this weekend's British Grand Prix. Currently championship-leading squad for both drivers and constructors, the Brackley-based outfit will now have all corporate outfits provided by the world-famous tailor.
A favourite with the rich and famous, Gieves & Hawkes, based at No.1 on London's Savile Row for over 200 years, will now add the Brawn GP name to its books before providing garments for the likes of Ross Brawn, Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello for formal team occasions.

Team owner Ross commented upon the team's new partnership, which will see the providing of the official Brawn GP attire, consisting of a 'grey single breasted, two button mohair suit with a crisp white shirt with the team's distinctive yellow, white and grey colouring featuring on the tie and button detailing': "We are delighted to have begun our new association with Gieves & Hawkes ahead of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. As a British company which excels in precision and quality, the values of Gieves & Hawkes were a perfect match for our team, and their drive for excellence mirrors our own approach to racing."
"We are very excited about the partnership between Brawn GP and Gieves & Hawkes," said the latter's chief executive, Steven Walton. "Both companies represent the highest quality in their respective fields, with precision and innovation that is second to none. Brawn GP's success this season is a testament to the hard-working and capable team they have built and Gieves & Hawkes are very proud to now be part of this adventure and support their challenge." Although the similarities between the two names are evident, the new-for-2009 Brawn does not match Gieves & Hawkes on history levels, half of which dates as far back as far back as 1771.
