Barrichello 'really happy' with front row

Rubens Barrichello is pleased to be starting second only to Sebastian Vettel in Sunday's British Grand Prix. Having claimed his first pole position at Silverstone for Ferrari in 2000, Brazillian Barrichello finished three and a half tenths of a second slower than the German to out-qualify Brawn team-mate Jenson Button for the first time this season.

After qualifying on the front row for the second race in sucession, Barrichello is looking to put his dismal afternoon in Turkey behind him on Sunday. "I'm really happy to be starting from the front row of the grid tomorrow on a track that I love and feels like home to me," said Rubens. "After some hard work overnight we changed the car a little and my engineers did a great job to get the setup to my liking ready for qualifying."

Barrichello's confidence has also been raised due to the performance of his Mercedes-powered BGP 001: "I really got everything out of the car today and we were able to achieve a little more than we expected. It's clear that the Red Bulls have made a good step forward so I'm delighted to have put the car on the front row and split Sebastian and Mark; we hoped for third today so it's great to go one better - now I hope that we can go one better tomorrow as well!"
