FOTA chairman Luca di Montezemolo has replied to Max Mosley's latest comments, in which the FIA president warned fans that the ongoing political games might not be over just yet. According to Di Montezemolo, it is now time for everyone involved to stop all political talks and begin focussing on the sport again.
"I am very pleased with the agreement (between FOTA and FIA)," said the Italian. "I understand the spectators; they are p***** off by all of these politics, press releases, unclear rules and rules changes every six months; we need stability, we need peace, we need transparency. We love Formula One - we need the best teams, the best cars and drivers.
"Together with the FIA, we came to a good agreement and we now need to stop the politics; we love Formula One - so we should not get rid of the big charm and unique elements of it."
