The Red Bull Racing team insists that there will be no team orders imposed upon drivers Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber at any stage of the 2009 season. The pairing, which closed in again on leaders Brawn GP at Silverstone, is currently second and third in the championship and seemingly a major threat to Brawn with nine races to go.

With a greater number of Grands Prix remaining than the amount to have already taken place this year, dramatic changes can still occur in the fight for the 2009 World Championship. With six wins from the first eight races, Jenson Button is the current runaway leader although, with Red Bull having outscored his team at the last two events, a single mistake could throw the fight wide open.
With Vettel a double race winner this year and Webber yet to get off the mark, the Milton Keynes-based team has stressed that no determined order will be handed to any man. "There's no number one driver," confirmed team principal Christian Horner. "Updates are being introduced to the cars equally at every race and that's the way it will continue for the rest of the season."

With Webber contesting his eighth F1 season and Vettel in only his second full year, experience varies greatly although this too is no factor on influencing an outcome. "They're both professional drivers, they're both at different stages in their career, but they work for a strong team," Horner continued. "Obviously, there is a competitive rivalry, but it's a professional rivalry between the two of them.
"I think it's a very, very strong driver line-up; both drivers are driving fantastically well and they're bringing the best out of each other - seeing them trade times through Q1 and Q2, through practice at Silverstone, they're two guys that are on top of their game at the moment. They are both really performing at a fantastic level and doing a brilliant job."
