Bourdais 'thinks before he drives'

Sébastien Bourdais was seen washing the cars of McDonald's drive-thru customers in Austria last Friday as the Toro Rosso pilot took part in a charity event. The speeds of service may not have been up to Formula One pit-stop standards, although the Frenchman enjoyed the experience of helping to raise all-important money.

With the popular fast food chain running its Car Wash Day for 2009, Bourdais was on hand with a number of celebrities from the media, political and sporting worlds in order to help clean the cars and check the tyres of surprised and unsuspecting customers.

All funds raised will go to Ronald McDonald Childcare, which has been assisting over 9,000 critically ill children in Austrian families for over two decades.
