Timo Glock will be starting Sunday's German Grand Prix from the pit lane. After qualifying in a disappointing nineteenth position on Saturday before being relegated to the very back of the grid for holding up Fernando Alondo during the session, the German will avoid first corner incidents with a pit lane start.
Timo Glock blocked Alonso in Saturday's Q2, stopping the Spaniard from setting what would have been the fastest time at that point of the session.
With the FIA-appointed race stewards later imposing the penalty, the German - one of five drivers in his home Grand Prix this weekend - later explained that never saw Alonso behind him during a radio conversation but did apologise for his actions. Sébastien Bourdais will be the final car on the grid, in 19th spot for Toro Rosso.
