Hamilton goes fastest in final practice

McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton was the fastest driver on track again this morning as the Briton topped the time sheets in Hungary. Hamilton ended well ahead of Nick Heidfeld and Nico Rosberg. Team-mate Heikki Kovalainen ended fourth. Force India's Adrian Sutil lost control of his car and crashed head-first into the tyre barriers, but was doing fine after his shunt.

Saturday's one-hour free practice session started at 11:00am at the Hungaroring. McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton topped the time sheets for most of the session and should be confident for this afternoon's qualifying session.

The new components installed at the Toro Rosso cars are clearly an improvement for the team. The team, who was at the back of the field for most of the season so far, was seen in the top ten for most of the session. In the end rookie driver Jaime Alguersuari fell down to P18 but Sebastien Buemi ended in fifth at the end of the session.

At Force India the engineers of Adrian Sutil will have a lot of work to do ahead of the qualifying session. They will have exactly two hours to get his car completely checked and ready for the German's qualifying session. Sutil ran wide at Turn 9 and went straight on in Turn 10 flying head-first into the tyre barriers. Sutil was fine fortunately but had to miss half of this morning's free practice session.
