'It reminds me of my accident in Barcelona'

A shiver was sent down the spine of Heikki Kovalainen at the Hungaroring on Saturday as Felipe Massa embedded his Ferrari into the tyre wall in qualifying. With a metal spring having struck the Brazilian on the helmet, before crashing heavily at Turn 4, Kovalainen awaits to hear more news on his fellow racer's condition.

On a section of track where speeds reach 170mph, Massa hit the spring which had broken from the Brawn rear wing of Rubens Barrichello's car. Kovalainen, who won this race last year after experiencing his own heavy accident at the earlier Spanish Grand Prix due to wheel hub failure, is naturally concerned for the Ferrari driver.

"I really hope that Felipe is okay," said Heikki after qualifying. "I really hope he isn't injured as it reminds me of my accident in Barcelona last year." Massa will not be racing on Sunday, as we await more news on his condition.
